A great way to get in ' vacation mode' is to start with an in-room spa treatment. From a basic massage to our Ho'oilo House Signature Treatment we're sure you'll find total relaxation. We suggest scheduling your appointment prior to arrival. The activity in which we most regularly participate is golfing here on the Valley Isle. From ocean front holes with crashing waves to mountain courses offering gorgeous views, golfing on Maui is simply splendid. Click below to book your tee time. If you have a little bit of adventure-seeker in you, you might enjoy the Zipline tour through Upcountry or the new course in West Maui. The Upcountry tour starts with a walk through the woods and then climaxes with a sail through the trees across several ziplines. The West Maui tour starts with a Pinzgauer drive up the slopes above Ka'anapali and climaxes with eight fun and amazing zips. This is our favorite activity! A bike ride down Haleakala is awesome. We highly recommend Haleakala Bike Company...the coolest thing about this company is that they let you ride down at your own pace--you're able to stop to eat, sightsee and shop along the way. One of our favorite adventures has to be helicopter tours. We highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours-any of their tours will be spectacular! Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours During whale season (December - April) whale watch tours are great! We recommend tours offered by the Pacific Whale Foundation. Snorkel trips are a great way to experience Maui's amazing sea life. Personally, we prefer smaller boats. We recommend Maui Adventure Cruises out of Lahaina Harbor or Alii Nui out of Ma'alaea Harbor. With a bit of a work out included, sea kayaking can also be a great way to experience Maui's waters. We recommend South Pacific Kayaks. Less adventurous and more historical would be the walking tour of Lahaina. Over 20 sites are visited, including important archeological areas and monuments. If you enjoy wine, there is a local winery that offers tours. Along with many traditional wine varieties, they also offer several unique pineapple wines. If you are hoping to experience the quintessential Hawaiian luau, we recommend Old Lahaina Luau. For a less traditional Luau but a great Polynesian show with a sit-down dinner we also highly recommend The Feast at Lele.
